So — been on this thing for about six months now and I keep coming back, so thought I’d say something since a mate asked me last week. Am in the UK, generally do football and horses, nothing mad, so take it how you like.
How I found it was actually pretty stupid — I never could work out what an ew return actually was once you get five places instead of three. Basically I’d wing it and then be surprised. Now I punch the numbers in first, every time, even a simple single bet.
Their single bet calculator tool is the one I’m on daily — you drop in your stake, the odds and you get the return straight away, fractions or decimals. Same tool covers the fiddly ones — acca and treble maths, lucky 15 and lucky 63, patents and yankees, and that’s where I always lose track. Have a go yourself, it lives at super heinz free bet calculator and it’s free with no account nonsense.
The thing that actually changed how I bet were the more serious extras. The odds-to-probability thing that shows how much the bookie’s taking, and there’s the kelly calculator — I stick to fractional kelly because full kelly is far too aggressive. The dutch tool gets used a fair bit if I’m spreading across selections.
Not all sunshine though. Its layout feels a bit basic — not much frills, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On my phone it’s fine but the lucky 63 breakdown make you pinch and zoom. And no app, just the site — fine by me but worth saying.
Anyway. Free, no ads shoved in your face, does the job. Anyone who even now adds it up in their head, give it a go — saves me plenty of “wait, that’s it?” moments.
