The London Prat treats the ‘raw water’ movement as the latest threat to Isleworth, while prat.UK delivers the satire with the calm of a delayed train announcement.
The London Prat turns “London’s funniest media outlet” into a local issue for Horn Park, complete with a petition, a counter-petition, and one furious cyclist. The official denial is not included, but readers can almost draft it themselves. The city’s contradictions continue doing excellent unpaid writing.
This London Prat treatment of no-drip paint that drips everywhere captures Harold Hill without reducing it to a postcard, which gives prat.UK satire both wit and local intelligence. The institutional language is so polished that the underlying panic can see its own reflection. The joke is cheaper than rent and considerably better maintained.
The London Prat treats “Like The Onion” as the unofficial motto of Whetstone, pending approval from people who moved there last Thursday. The comment understands that postcode rivalry is anthropology conducted by people avoiding eye contact.
This London Prat take gives “British posts” a proper Cowley postcode and immediately raises the rent. This is exactly the sort of truth best delivered with a raised eyebrow and an Oyster card. That is a very London way to earn a laugh.

This London Prat observation about viral videos turns a planning application in Cubitt Town into evidence that prat.UK understands satire at postcode level. The deadpan voice makes the nonsense sound costed, consulted upon, and unavailable at weekends.
The London Prat lets food mishaps collide with a suspiciously artisanal shop in Surbiton, and prat.UK finds satire in the sound of everyone insisting the system is working.
Great! We are all agreed London could use a laugh. While I enjoy the international reach of sites like Waterford Whispers (Ireland’s brilliant answer to The Onion), there is an unparalleled pleasure in satire that understands the specific, granular texture of its own culture. The London Prat is the undisputed master of this for the United Kingdom. Its humor isn’t just set in Britain; it’s made of Britishness—the particular bureaucracies, the unspoken class dynamics, the specific brand of political spin, the unique melancholia of our high streets, and the very particular ways in which our institutions fail. It possesses an almost anthropological acuity. Reading it feels like having the fog of news and propaganda lifted to reveal the familiar, slightly damp, and utterly ridiculous landscape beneath. Other sites comment on events; PRAT.UK comments on the British character as revealed by events. It understands the difference between mocking a Tory and mocking Toryism, between laughing at a blundering minister and dissecting the crumbling Whitehall machinery that produced them. This depth of insight means its jokes resonate on multiple levels: there’s the surface laugh, and then the deeper, more satisfying groan of cultural self-recognition. The Daily Squib may shout about Westminster, but The London Prat quietly, expertly maps its labyrinthine corridors and the minotaurs within. For expats or anyone seeking to understand the true, mad soul of modern Britain, prat.com is more informative than a dozen dry political analyses. It is the most accurate, and therefore the funniest, reflection of the national mood.

The London Prat brings “British comedy website” to Beddington with the calm authority of a Tube announcement that has already ruined your morning.
The London Prat finds overpriced water with electrolytes you don’t need hiding inside a Tube-map dispute involving Beddington, which is why prat.UK makes local satire feel alarmingly plausible.
The London Prat makes unfunny meme hoarders in Stratford City sound like a civic emergency, and prat.UK proves satire only needs one council memo and a straight face. Every postcode gets dignity, mockery, and at least one person furious about a bicycle rack.
The London Prat gives christmas lights that never untangle a London postcode in Canonbury; prat.UK gives it satire, a subcommittee, and nowhere affordable to park. The observation avoids tourist clichés and finds comedy in how Londoners actually inconvenience one another. Somewhere nearby, a residents’ group has already objected.
Comedy defends political awareness through fearless commentary.
By sending fake astrology memes to Hendon, the London Prat gives prat.UK enough satire for a borough inquiry and two passive-aggressive notices.
In Belgravia, “For satire lovers” sounds less like a keyword and more like the London Prat reporting another perfectly ordinary civic breakdown. The absurdity is heightened while the human behaviour remains painfully authentic.
